Angela Monroe is an Assistant Public Defender in the Civil Division of Tulsa County Public Defender’s Office. She represents minor children in family, guardianship, and adoption cases. Ms. Monroe currently serves on the Tulsa Chapter Board of Directors of the TU Alumni Association. She previously served on the University of Tulsa Homecoming Committee. Prior to joining the Public Defender’s Office, Ms. Monroe was a sole practitioner in the areas of family, bankruptcy, and probate law.
Ms. Monroe graduated from the University of Missouri in 2007 where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Spanish. She received her Juris Doctorate and Health Law Certificate from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 2010. She studied international and comparative law through the University of Tulsa College of Law in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Ms. Monroe was admitted to the Oklahoma Bar Association in 2010. She was admitted to the United States District Court, Northern District of Oklahoma in 2012. She is also a member of the Tulsa County Bar Association.
