Kevin Morrison has practiced law exclusively in juvenile court for nearly 20 years handling both deprived and delinquent cases. Mr. Morrison represents children involved in the child welfare system due to abuse or neglect by their caregivers. He also represents children in mental health commitment proceedings. Previously, Mr. Morrison was a prosecutor of child welfare cases, a teacher and advocate in juvenile law for the National District Attorney’s Association, and a referee in juvenile court, where he handled both deprived and delinquent cases. Before his public service, he practiced 11 years with two large Tulsa law firms in the area of antitrust, securities, and commercial litigation. He has been with the Public Defender’s Office for 10 years.

Mr. Morrison has tried dozens of jury trials as well as hundreds of non-jury adjudications. He also has experience teaching courses in juvenile law to varied groups including prosecutors, defenders, and Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). Mr. Morrison’s community involvement includes previously serving as a member of the Board of Education and serving as an elder and a deacon at his church.
